Subaru of America is recalling more than forty-eight thousand vehicles because the engines started on there own. There is evidently a key fob which has malfunctioned and the engine will start. Many times the motor will run for fifteen minutes and they only will stop if they run our of gas or some type of failure wit the battery. The main problem is that if someone has their vehicle in their garage; the carbon monoxide may get into the air conditioning ducts and kill people inside the dwelling.
There have been many other types of problems with the Subaru’s in the past. There has been problems with transmissions as well as air conditioners but this one will most likely be the most costly for Subaru. The vehicles that are likely involved are the Legacy and Outback models from 2010 through 2013 models. The Impreza from 2012 and 2013 and the Crosstrak for 2013 are also involved. The dealers will replace theses key fobs for free. If someone you know has been injured as a result of these accidents, please contact me toll free at (888)245-2855 or through my web site.
