I’ve never practiced at a large law firm, but the large law firms that I see versus the sole practitioners, like me, a lawyer on his own, there’s a huge difference.
It’s the service.
I have lots of clients that have come to me from these big factory firms, I call them.
They tell me, “Frank, I call all the time, nobody talks to me”, “Frank, I don’t know what’s going on with my case, I’ve never met my lawyer”, unbelievable.
I cannot believe that there’re people that sign a contract with somebody that comes to your house and they’re called a runner or an investigator, and you never meet your lawyer and say, “Hey, I actually get along with this guy. Am I going to go to battle with this guy? What if you’re sitting in front of a jury for five days?”
And then, all of a sudden, you’re assigned a lawyer and you don’t know who it is, that’s the main difference.
I’m not throwing stones at them, but do they need to turn your case quickly to pay all the vast amount of TV advertising?
Those bills come in every month.
Somebody than can weather the storm by yourself and a lone wolf is probably what you want when you’re going after something, and that’s the big difference.
