Imagine that you’re in Florida and you got rear-ended and the guy didn’t have any insurance. Well, guess what? You’re in luck because you are in Florida. Florida’s one of the few, no-fault states, which means that every person in the car during an accident has a $10,000 reservoir of money to pay back lost wages and medical expenses.
That means you can go by ambulance to the hospital, miss work for two weeks, and STILL get reimbursements. Even though it’s the other car’s fault. Your insurance is going to step up and pay – every time – because they’re required to do so by Florida law.
